Produced from a coupage of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano from our best and oldest vineyards. After fermenting at a low temperature to preserve the fruit aromas, it has spent 2 and a half years in American (40%) and French (60%) oak casks and over 3 further years maturing in the bottle cellar of our Bodega.
VALSERRANO GRAN RESERVA 2010
Thanks to the favourable climate conditions throughout the whole year, as well as the moderate yields, this vintage 2010 was rated as EXCELLENT in the DOC Rioja appellation.
COLOUR: Cherry-red colour, medium-high depth and little sign of evolution.
AROMAS:Intense, with wild, red-berry fruit and nuances of cedar and sandalwood. When swirled in the glass these aromas are enhanced by tertiary notes of root ginger, dry hay.
MOUTH: Lively, fresh and long. Subtle, silky tannins. The taste of red berries and cherries in liqueur return. An elegant, long, complex, lively aftertaste.
