VALSERRANO ROSADO 2020

This rosé wine has been made from red Garnacha grapes and a small proportion of Tempranillo, carefully harvested with manual selection in the vineyard. The Garnacha is the most widely grown grape variety in all the countries of the Mediterranean area. In La Rioja it is mainly cultivated in the lower reaches of the Ebro valley. In districts at a higher altitude such as the Rioja Alavesa, it is a minority variety and needs years with kind weather conditions to give its best quality.

VALSERRANO ROSADO 2019

The whole clusters of grapes are brought into the winery and after destemming they are placed in the press, remaining there for some time while the must macerates as it drains through, taking some color from the skins. They are then slowly and gently pressed with very little pressure so as to avoid those acquiring grassy flavors and so as to preserve the pale, salmon-pink color. We could say that it is a “Rosado de Lágrima” a rosé made from the first pressing.

COLOUR: Salmon-pink. Bright sheen with copper glints.

AROMAS: Stone fruit notes like peaches and red liquorice. When swirled in the glass, hints of violets and some herbal notes of basil.

MOUTH: A fresh attack, smooth glycerine sensation as it passes through the mouth, and lively acidity. Reminders of ripe strawberries. A long, flavoursome aftertaste.
