Nine Rioja Reservas to start the year.

Rioja wine region is without no doubt a safe bet. And if we think of red wines, the area seems to find a good balance (especially with regards to the value) in the category of Reservas, wines that are released into the market with a minimum of three years of aging, of which at least 12 must be in oak.

The fact is that 2.007 vintage, considered “really good”, has very interesting wines in Rioja and many Reservas of this vintage that are emerging on the market, or will be released in the coming months, make excellent purchases to perform in 2013.

2007 was a year with Atlantic weather, the harvest lasted until November 2, maturation was slow and rhythmic, and the grapes entered the wineries very staggered. All this has resulted in very red wines really fresh, expressive and well balanced.

Valserrano Reserva 07 a classic Rioja Alavesa wine and a perfect joker for its balance, fresh acidity, good expression of red fruit & discreet contribution of the barrel.
