Made from 95% Tempranillo and 5% Mazuelo grapes. Aged for more than 18 months in American and French-oak casks, then stored for a few months in vats to allow the components of the wine to blend together before bottling.
VALSERRANO CRIANZA 2021
The 2021 vintage was classified as VERY GOOD by the DOC RIOJA. The weather conditions were favourable during the ripening cycle, which allowed good yields and a staggered, uneventful harvest, with very healthy grapes and good state of ripeness
Product Description
COLOUR: Cherry with good depth of colour in the heart of the glass and ruby glints at the rim.
AROMAS: With the glass still, an intense, yet elegant nose with nuances of red berries and toasted fragrances. Faint reminders of vanilla and red pepper. When swirled in the glass, spicy cinnamon notes appear, with dark fruit like blackberries and reminders of cigar boxes and cedar wood.
MOUTH: A lively, fresh, joyful attack. As it passes through the mouth, it is elegant and balanced, with reminders of stewedred fruit, full of flavour, creamy smooth, but with backbone. In the aftertaste it shows pleasant structure without losing any freshness, with a faint, tasty liveliness in the finish.
