Made from a coupage of Tempranillo and Graciano grapes from our best vineyards. It has spent 29 months in American (40%) and French (60%) oak casks and was bottled in July 2019.
VALSERRANO GRAN RESERVA 2016
The 2016 harvest was significant both in terms of quantity and quality. It produced wines with great balance, great aromatic quality, and very good phenolic ripeness, which added depth and length to the wines of this vintage. It was ranked as VERY GOOD by the DOC Rioja Control Board.
Product Description
COLOR: Clear and bright cherry colours with ruby hues around the edge of the glass.
AROMAS: With the glass still, mineral and inky nuances with reminders of phosphorous and hints of white pepper and toffee. When the glass is swirled, it is intense and seductive with reminders of bay leaf, sage and rosemary, all edged with toasted notes and hints of cedar from its good ageing process.
BOCA: a fresh, lively attack. Pleasant, juicy, creamy tannins as it passes through the mouth, with a good combination of ripe fruit flavours and mountain herbs. The finish is long, with tannins to make the mouth water, leaving a long, lingering aftertaste.
