The wine is aged in 5,000 litre oak vats and in top quality French- and American-oak casks. It preserves the typical style of a Tempranillo wine from Villabuena: deep and powerful, yet at the same time fresh and elegant.
FINCA EL RIBAZO 2017
Our plot of EL RIBAZO is an 11-hectare vineyard situated to the west and very close to the center of the village of Villabuena. It is made up of a number of adjacent plots which were planted between 1985 and 1988 with different varieties. For this wine, we have only used a 5.05-hectare parcel, which was the first to be planted, made up of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Viura, and which year after year guarantees the highest quality. The composition of the soil, its orientation and the age of the vines endow the wine with a distinctive character and make it ideal for obtaining vintages of HIGH QUALITY.
COLOR: Intense black-cherry colour with clear, bluish glints at the rim of the glass.
AROMAS: With the glass held still, we find nuances of wild berries such as blueberries, blackberries and redcurrants. When swirled, cigar box aromas and hints of china ink, cedar and reminders of cloves and pepper appear.
BOCA: A powerful, juicy attack with blackberry flavors, a good balance between the tannins and the acidity, reminders of toasted oak. A long, creamy aftertaste.
